Sakura Trees are a type of garden tree that produces the homegrown fruit, Homegrown Cherry Flavoured Riceballs. Sakura trees can be grown in a pet's front or back garden by purchasing a normal tree seed at the Garden Shop.
This tree type was introduced to Facebook versions of Pet Society on April 9, 2010 as part of Playfish's Japan week theme.
After planting, it will take 72 hours for the tree to reach maturity. Afterward, the tree will begin producing fruit, one riceball at a time, randomly. A pet can have up to three total fruits on the tree at once.
Homegrown Cherry Flavoured Riceballs from this tree can be used to fish at the Pet Society Pond. So far, they seem to only catch fishing junk and common fish.
